Surrey SkyTrain stabbing sends man to hospital: transit police
Metro Vancouver Transit Police (MVTP) say a man was stabbed while on a SkyTrain in Surrey early Saturday morning.
Alongside Surrey RCMP, MVTP say they responded to a stabbing report at Surrey Central SkyTrain Station just after 1 a.m.
Upon arrival, they found a man in his 20s with a “stab wound to his abdomen,” he was hospitalized but later released.

“It is not yet known what led to stabbing but it does not appear to be linked to any of the previously reported incidents on transit,” MVTP said in an email to CityNews.
Police say it is not known what led up to the stabbing as it’s still early in the investigation.
