Vancouver arson charge laid after December fire

Vancouver police say a man has been charged with arson after a home was destroyed in December.

The fire engulfed the two-level house in the area of Argyle Street near 31st Avenue on Dec. 16, 2022. It resulted in “more than one million dollars in damages,” the VPD says.

Police note no one was hurt in the fire.

Thirty-seven-year-old Force Forsythe is facing one count of arson with disregard for life.

Police say he is due in court June 26.
