Vancouver’s outdoor pools open; beach lifeguard patrols begin
It’s time to grab a towel and put on some sunscreen as outdoor pools are opening and beach patrols are starting up across Vancouver.
Two outdoor pools are now open — the New Brighton and Second Beach pools, whereas the Kitsilano Pool will remain closed.
The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation says the closure is due to lasting storm damage, and there is no scheduled date for when it will open.
