Temporary change to BC Ferries route will add time to Vancouver-Victoria sailing
One of the vessels used to service the Vancouver (Tsawwassen) to Victoria (Swartz Bay) route will be seeing some delays starting Sunday until Nov. 26, BC Ferries has announced.
Following a mechanical inspection, the Coastal Celebration is being re-routed during that period. Instead of sailing through Active Pass, it will sail south of the area, via East Point.
The service says this will add about 15 minutes to the voyage.
In a news release, BC Ferries says the Coastal Celebration is one of the extra vessels sailing on this route. All other ships that provide the odd-houred sailings will continue as usual between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
