Vancouver shooting sends 1 person to hospital

Vancouver police say one person has been taken to hospital after a shooting early Thursday.

The VPD says officers were called just after 1 a.m. to the area of Abbott and Pender, where they found a man in his 30s who had been shot.

A motive remains unclear and police say no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

“Officers are actively looking for the suspect,” the VPD said in an email, adding the investigation is still in its early stages.
