Former Canucks prospect charged in alleged massive fraud case

The Surrey RCMP says a former Vancouver Canucks prospect and Surrey resident is facing charges after allegedly conducting “large-scale” real-estate fraud.

Mounties say they were tipped off to the alleged dealings after a victim came forward to police alleging they had lost “several millions of dollars” in real-estate investment opportunities.

Police say as part of their investigations, they determined that between October 2015 and July 2018, the Surrey man did commit financial frauds.
