Earthquakes Canada to abandon X account in new year

For an unknown reason, Earthquakes Canada says it’s shutting down its X account in January.

Beginning Jan. 13, 2024, the federal agency says it will no longer be posting to its account.

It adds anyone looking for information about earthquakes in Canada can visit its website.

The account currently has more than 100 thousand followers and is one of 376 government accounts on the app.
