All Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley public schools closed Wednesday

With another winter storm hitting the Lower Mainland Wednesday, all public school districts in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley have closed for the day.

Abbotsford

Schools within the Abbotsford School District are closed for Jan. 17

Burnaby

All schools within the Burnaby School District are closed Jan. 17.

Chilliwack

All Chilliwack School District classes are cancelled for Wednesday, Jan. 17.

Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam/Port Moody

All schools within School District 43 are closed Jan. 17.

Delta

All Delta School District classes are cancelled for Wednesday, Jan. 17.

Langley (township and city)

All schools within the Langley School District are closed for Jan. 17

Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows

School District 42, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, has cancelled all classes and closed schools Wednesday.

Mission

Schools within the Mission School District are closed for Jan. 17

New Westminster

All schools in the New Westminster School District are closed Wednesday.

North Vancouver

The North Vancouver School District says all schools are closed for Jan. 17.

Richmond

All Richmond School District schools are closed Wednesday.

Surrey and White Rock

The Surrey School District says all schools are closed for Wednesday, Jan. 17.

Vancouver 

Vancouver School Board says all schools in the district are closed for Jan. 17.

West Vancouver 

All West Vancouver School District classes are cancelled for Wednesday, Jan. 17.

• UBC: In-person classes cancelled at Vancouver campus Wednesday. UBC says classes may move online. Campus will remain open.
• SFU: All in-person SFU activities are cancelled Wednesday. All online classes will proceed as scheduled.
• BCIT: All in-person classes cancelled at all campuses. If your class or work is available online, BCIT says this closure does not affect you.
• KPU: All in-person classes are cancelled Wednesday.
• VCC: In-person classes cancelled at Vancouver campus Wednesday.
• Capilano: All in-person classes are cancelled Jan. 17.
• Langara: All in-person classes are cancelled Wednesday.
• Douglas College: All in-person classes are cancelled Wednesday.
• JIBC:  JIBC New Westminster, JIBC Maple Ridge, JIBC Pitt Meadows, and JIBC Chilliwack are closed Jan. 17.
• Emily Carr: All in-person classes are cancelled Jan. 17.
• University Canada West: All in-person classes online January 17. Campuses will remain partially open but in-person services are unavailable
