Cyclist killed in East Vancouver crash

Police in Vancouver say they’re investigating a fatal crash that shuttered a section of Clark Drive in East Vancouver.

Just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, police say a cyclist was hit by the driver of a silver Dodge Ram near the intersection of Clark and East 11th Avenue.

Officers say the cyclist died at the scene, despite life-saving attempts.

The southbound lanes were blocked at Broadway for several hours, with drivers diverted onto Broadway during the closure.

Police say the driver is cooperating with police.
