Variety Show of Hearts releases its total

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The children of B.C. are receiving a very large gift, thanks to your donations $7.4 million was raised at the Variety Show of Hearts Telethon. Chairman of the fundraiser George Pitman says this was a hard year as they were up against many other causes.  “We’ve got the Olympics, we’ve got Haiti, we have so many other things that are happening in the world and we are just absolutely excited that B.C. came through for us the way they did.”

One of the largest donations came in from a caller pledging $250,00 to the charity.  Pitman adds none of this would have been possible without the volunteers and partners in the fundraiser.
