Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes takes over CNE grounds

TORONTO, On. –  The annual TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes took over the Exhibition grounds, Sunday morning.

Ida Piasentin with the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation told 680News, the event is a five kilometre walk around the CNE.

Over 300,000 Canadians are living with type 1 diabetes.

Walks were scheduled all across Canada.

Last year, more than 48,000 Canadians walked and raised over $7.5-million across the country.
