LONDON, GB (NEWS1130) – This afternoon two-time medallist Simon Whitfield led team Canada into Olympic Stadium in London, England.
News1130’s Carl Hanstke was there.
“The athletes making their way, The Canadian Athletes looking great, so sharp with their bright red Canadian tops, with the white Canada lettering and then the beige pants as their making their way around. Must an awesome moment for them, for some of them, never seeing a crowd this big walking into a stadium with 80,000 people cheering, you’re amongst your countrymen waving your flag.”
We’ll be hearing from Carl from London throughout the Games.
