Dining in the dark restaurant to open this month

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It’s being touted as a great place to take a blind date.

A new restaurant in Vancouver is employing only visually impaired servers.

And to add to the experience, diners will eat in complete darkness.

The servers at Dark Table will guide the patrons to their seats and take care of their needs for the rest of the evening.

And if dining in the dark is not enough of a challenge, owner Moe Alameddine suggests ordering a surprise dish.

“You have to guess what you eat,” he says. “It creates some fun because you can’t see your food, it’s the surprise.”

The restaurant on West fourth is expected to open later this month.
