Talks aimed at averting an N-H-L lockout are about to resume with the deadline less than four days away.
The league and the players’ union will meet Wednesday in New York.
Formal talks broke off 12 days ago, although both sides met informally last Friday.
The league vows to lock out the players if a new agreement is not reached by midnight E-T on Saturday, when the current deal runs out.
It would be the N-H-L’s fourth work stoppage in 20 years.
