CN worker killed in train derailment

FORT ST. JOHN (NEWS1130) – RCMP are investigating after a CN Rail employee was killed when a tanker car derailed in the Gutah area north of Fort St. John.
The derailment happened around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday in a CN work yard, which is only accessible by railway tracks.
Police, the Coroner, and BC Ambulance were all called to the scene.
WorksafeBC, the Transportation Safety Board, CN Police, Human Resources and Skills Development, and the Coroners‘ office are all assisting the RCMP in the investigation.
The identity of the deceased hasn’t been released.
