Giants fall for the sixth straight time

EVERETT, WA (NEWS1130) – Joshua Winquist scored two of Everett’s three second period goals, as the Everett Silvertips shutout the Vancouver Giants 4-0 in the WHL. The Giants have lost six straight contests.
Vancouver native Manraj Hayer assisted on both on Winquist’s markers.
West Vancouver’s Daniel Cotton earned the shutout in goal for the Silvertips, as Everett outshot Vancouver 26-19.
Payton Lee made 22 saves for the G-Men.
The ‘Tips scored an empty net goal with five seconds left in the game.
Don Hay’s crew have only scored twice in their last four games.
On Saturday, the Giants will celebrate Trevor Linden on Heroes of Hastings night. Tri-City visits the Pacific Coliseum. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
