Police looking for robbery/carjacking suspect in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS1130) – Police in Abbotsford are hoping you can help them find the man responsible for breaking into a home, hitting a police cruiser and stealing a car at gunpoint.
It happened on December 21st at around 5 p.m. When police arrived at the home on Nicholson Road, the break-and-enter suspect took off in a stolen pickup truck, hitting a police vehicle in the process.
After police used a spike belt to stop the pickup, the truck then smashed another car at Mt. Lehman Road and Cardinal Avenue; the man then took out a handgun, forced a woman out of her car, and drove off in the Toyota Corolla on the Trans-Canada Highway.
Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his twenties or thirties. He was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie at the time. He was last seen driving a 2006 grey Toyota Corolla with B.C. licence plate 726 PHL.
If you see him or the vehicle, you’re asked to call the police.
