Human remains found in West Van

WEST VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The BC Coroners Service and West Vancouver Police are working to identify a body that was found near the British Properties late Friday afternoon. The body was found just east of the Highview Lookout on Cypress Bowl Road.

Sergeant Paul Skelton tells News1130 foul play is not suspected and because the remains were found in such a heavily wooded area, investigators had to call in North Shore Rescue volunteers for help.

It’s not known how long the remains were there, or how badly decomposed the body is.

A dog-walker was first to spot the body.
