John Furlong striking back at additional accusations

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The former head of VANOC is once again striking back at accusations made against him by the Vancouver reporter he’s suing.

New claims filed in court yesterday by Laura Robinson accuse John Furlong of physically abusing a former spouse and sexual abusing another.

He’s issued a statement saying the accusations are “completely unfounded”.

His legal team says it will be filing a formal response in court in the coming days.

Original accusations were made in a Georgia Straight article about his days as a volunteer teacher in northern BC in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
