Man’s body found in grassy area near Surrey/Delta border

SURREY (NEWS1130) – IHIT has been called in for an investigation in Surrey.
A man’s body has been found in a grassy area on the side of the road near on Colebrook Road near the Surrey/Delta border.
Investigators are working to identify him and notify the next of kin. The cause of death is not being released.
“We are in the early stages of this investigation and we are working to find out if this latest homicide is related to gang activity,” says Corporal Adam MacIntosh.
Howard Lee lives on the stretch of road where the body was found and he says it’s not as quiet her as you might think. “It’s a dark road at night and all the kids find things to do down here, whether just sit out and hang out for a few beers or whatever they do at night. Something like this goes on all the time.”
Lee says he’s see it all along this stretch of Colebrook.
“On this road here, things are going all the time,” he tells us.
“On a weekly basis there is always something going on, whether it’s a stolen vehicle, car fires, people drinking and partying down on this road. To me it’s not even a shock.”
