Police issue public warning about sexual offender

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS1130) – Jeffrey Allan Goddard, 23, has a history of sexual offences against children.
He has been released after serving time for breaching probation and will live in a halfway house in Abbotsford.
Police say he has targeted children aged 12 to 16.
Abbotsford Police Constable Ian MacDonald says Goddard is being released under some very strict conditions.
“He is not to possess any electronic device that can access the Internet. He shouldn’t have a computer and certainly, based on his history, that is one of the mechanisms, one of the M-Os that he has used to try and make contact with young people.”
“We want people to be aware both of his history and now his current appearance… and most specifically, the court-ordered conditions that would prevent him, hopefully, from having contact with anyone under the age of 16,” he adds.
He is 5’9″ and 150 lbs. He has short brown hair and green eyes; he’s also known to wear glasses.
His court-ordered conditions:
– No contact with anyone under the age of 16
– Not to attend any public park, school ground, daycare, swimming areas, playgrounds, skating rinks, community centers or recreational centers where persons under the age of 18 are present
– Not to utilize or possess any electronic device that can access the internet
– Not to establish or maintain any social networking site
– Not to possess weapons
If you see him in violation of any of these conditions, you’re asked to call the police.
