Dating website for conservatives to debut in Canada

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – When looking for love, some go for looks, others apparently go for views… political views, that is!

A dating website that caters exclusively to those who are more right-leaning is coming to Canada.

ConservativesOnly.com launched last year in the States.

The people behind it say it isn’t just for stodgy, over the hill people, but for singles of all races and persuasion.

There’s even a joke category: Martian.

While the site claims to cater to all races and religions, the selection leaves something to be desired. A search on Wednesday revealed a bit of a boys’ club as the ratio of heterosexual men to women is more than three to one.

The site is looking a little thin on Canadian content at the moment, as well; the only takers as of Wednesday were a 47-year-old woman from Oshawa and a “very busy guy” from Nova Scotia.
