The Baltimore Ravens take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII (47) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday. The kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. ET.
It’s the first time in Super Bowl history that brothers will lock horns as opposing head coaches — Baltimore’s John Harbaugh versus San Francisco’s Jim Harbaugh.
Both teams come into the big game undefeated in Super Bowl play in their histories, so one team’s resume is going to be tarnished by the time it’s all over.
The Ravens’ Ray Lewis will play the last game of his career on Sunday as well, and some believe that last ride could be enough to give the Ravens an emotional advantage that could be too much for the 49ers to overcome.
Meanwhile, the latest odds out of Las Vegas favour San Francisco by 3.5 points, and close to $90-million is expected to be wagered on the game in Nevada alone.
In terms of entertainment offerings, Alicia Keys is singing the national anthem and Beyonce will be performing at the halftime show.
