Police work to identify body pulled from Quebec quarry

L’EPIPHANIE, Que. (NEWS1130) – Quebec provincial police are working to identify a second body pulled from the rubble after a landslide at a gravel quarry.
The woman’s body was discovered Saturday evening and police say it likely is one of two workers swept away as the ground collapsed on Tuesday.
A man’s body found in the landslide earlier Saturday has been identified as 54-year-old Daniel Brisebois.
Crews had been searching for two workers — a man and a woman — who went missing after their vehicles were swept into a gravel pit dozens of metres deep.
The vehicles were trapped in huge mounds of loose gravel at the bottom of the crater in L’Epiphanie, Que., just outside Montreal.
A third worker whose vehicle also fell into the quarry was rescued by a provincial police helicopter on Tuesday within hours of the collapse.
