VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Wine tastings, home decorating, comedy and sports all round out a jam-packed weekend of events around the Lower Mainland.

The Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival starts Monday at various locations around town. Come learn about and taste some of the world’s best wines. You can also learn about pairings, enjoy gourmet meals, take part in seminars and watch cooking competitions.

It’s your last weekend to check out the BC Home and Garden Show at BC Place.

Bring the kids out to the Cloverdale Indoor Kids Swap Meet Saturday at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds and shop for everything from toys to strollers to clothing and baby gates.

The Vancouver-based improv troupe “The Windy City Women” will be performing their latest production “Liquid” Saturday at Havana Restaurant Theatre located on Commercial.

The ZoomerShow is on this weekend at the Vancouver Convention Centre. It’s Canada’s largest consumer and lifestyle expo for men and women over the age of 45.

The Vancouver Ukulele Festival 2013 is Saturday at Ruby’s Ukes and St James Hall.

Be dazzled at Divas: Vegas Meets Vaudeville is Saturday at Cascades Casino in Langley where celebrity impersonator Bonnie Kilroe performs a one-woman star-studded show.

The National Ballet of China present Swan Lake at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre starting this Wednesday and running until Saturday.

Engelbert Humperdinck — music’s “King of Romance” — plays the River Rock Show Theatre Saturday at 8:00 p.m.

The Vancouver Giants host the Seattle ThunderbirdsSunday at the Pacific Coliseum.

Come out to the Celebration of Powwow Culture Sunday at the Roundhouse Community Centre and enjoy traditional and contemporary dance exhibitions.

Mark Heritage Week and Port Moody’s centennial at the Port Moody Heritage House Tour at the Port Moody Station Museum.
