Heat flame out for seventh straight game

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS1130) – Chris Terry scored late in the third period on the power play to give Charlotte a 1-0 win over the Heat.
Justin Peters fended off 41 Abbotsford shots to earn the shutout for the Checkers.

Heat Goalie Leland Irving was the second star of the game with 22 saves.

Carolina’s top farm club was one-for-three on the power play, while the Heat could not capitalize on a half dozen opportunities with the man advantage

The Checkers won Friday’s contest between the two clubs 5-1.

Abbotsford is home to the Houston Aeros next Friday night.
