Woman convicted twice for murder getting another trial

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Martha Kahnapace and Donald Wall were drinking and using cocaine in Vancouver way back in 2005.
They got into an argument, Wall was stabbed in the chest and he died in the hospital several days later.
Kahnapace was convicted of second-degree murder in 2007, but the conviction was thrown out after the BC Court of Appeal ruled the judge didn’t give the jury proper instructions.
She was convicted again in 2011, but BC’s High Court says the second trial judge made some of the same mistakes.
Kahnapace is going to trial again.
The panel of Appeal Court judges says it’s unfortunate she has to be tried a third time.
