Dude Chilling Park rides again?

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – You may not have heard the last of “Dude Chilling Park” after all — at least if the head of the Vancouver Park Board gets her way.
A motion is headed to the Vancouver Park Board next month in reaction to the sign that sparked an online sensation.
That motion, which calls for your input, will be introduced at the March 11th meeting.
Park Board Chair Sarah Blyth says the “Dude Chilling Park” sign could end up at the Museum of Vancouver, and the name itself could resurface somewhere too.
“There may be a park that has no name and it could be as simple as maybe putting it through the park naming process,” she explains.
“I guess it really, it depends on what ideas come forward for the sign.”
The “Dude Chilling Park” phenomenon began late last year when local artist put up a very official looking sign at Guelph Park in Mount Pleasant, suggesting the park had been rechristened.
Staff took it down sparking an Internet petition, then Google Maps joined the fun by renaming it online.
