Driver who killed two people wants driving ban reduced

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A man whose speeding Porsche killed two pedestrians in downtown Vancouver eight years ago is appealing to have his 11-year driving ban reduced..
Paul George Antunes is serving a five-and-a-half year jail term and is eligible for parole in December.
His lawyer says Antunes has no issue with his sentence, his only concern is the ban because he needs to drive for work.
In 2005, a Porsche SUV ran a red light and smashed into Stanley Wong, John Larkin and Ronnie Chan as they crossed West Hastings St. Wong and Larkin were killed.
During his trial, Antunes told the court he wasn’t driving the SUV.
He attempted to have his conviction appealed in 2012 but was denied.
