VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) –  The BC Lions have signed defensive back Dante Marsh to a new contract extension.  Marsh, who was entering the option year of his current deal will play his tenth season with BC.

“I’m looking forward to reappearing in the black and orange and my best season.  I know it sounds cliche’ but I believe I get better with time. I’m not looking for any drop-off,” Marsh tells News1130 Sports.

The 34-year-old Fresno State product was signed by the Lions prior to the 2004 season after his release by the NFL’s Tennessee Titans and has become one the CFL’s shutdown defensive backs.  Marsh has won two Grey Cups with the Lions while making the West Division All-Star squad three times.  Marsh has recorded at least 50 tackles in each of his past five seasons to go along with 26 career interceptions.
