VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver’s mayor has a few issues he hopes will make it into the provincial election campaign.
He’ll be looking for the city’s priorities to show up on the parties’ platforms.
In recent months, Gregor Robertson has talked about making transit and regional policing into election issues. “I’ll be advocating vigorously for affordable housing and homelessness solutions, along with transit. Those are my big pieces for Vancouver.”
You can add affordable housing and homelessness to that list.
Robertson intends to raise those topics whenever he can.
“Vancouver has needs like every other community around the province. We’ll just make sure our voices are heard, and the candidates seeking seats in Vancouver understand the priorities of the city.”
Robertson is hoping to see commitments in the various party platforms, as the election officially gets underway on Tuesday.
Robertson will be watching closely for details that matter to him.
