VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Adrian Dix maintains the race is going as expected, as the polls continue to show the NDP lead getting smaller.
The New Democrat leader is even displaying a bit of bravado; he insists his campaign is going well, and he always expected a close race.
“I’m very positive about the way the campaign has gone, and what we’ve done consistently from the beginning of the campaign is to run on the issues, on what matters to British Columbians.”
Dix argues his party is poised to claim seats from the BC Liberals, rattling off cities like Kelowna, Kamloops, Penticton, Vernon, and some in the Shuswap.
“We’ve run consistently in this campaign to reach out beyond our current base. The Liberal party, and I think the record shows this, is also running in their seats. So, I think that indicates how we think the campaign is going.”
As for the narrowing gap, Dix, not unlike Christy Clark, notes the only poll that matters is the one on election day.
