VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Whatever happens when the polls close at 8 p.m., there will likely be some shake-ups inside the unsuccessful parties.
Green Party leader Jane Sterk has already announced she’ll be stepping down.
OMNI TV Political Analyst Kim Emerson says Liberal leader Christy Clark will be out whether her party wins or loses.
“Even if she wins, it would just delay it by a couple of years before there was a leadership review and she was being forced out of the situation being the leader of the Liberal party.”
As for NDP boss Adrian Dix, Emerson says questions how the party would be able to keep him if they didn’t end up in power.
“He has become the lightening rod for the Liberal party and they’ve been able to use all of his negatives against him… successfully, how could you go with him forward into another election where they would just do the same and worse.”
Emerson says the Conservatives are already in shambles and will see themselves looking for a new leader as well.
