Some US politicians still pushing for border fee

PEACE ARCH (NEWS1130) – It seems some US politicians still want to hit you with a border fee when you travel into the States.

The problem seems to be a north-south thing; members of the US Senate and Congress representing areas near the Mexican border are for it and those near our border are against it.

The latter group is trying to put a kibosh on the whole plan by starving the process of money, and that’s just what business owners in places like Blaine are hoping for.

One American gas station owner admits 90 per cent of his customers are Canadian and anything that would stop us from crossing the border to gas up would be bad news.
