Heritage Classic tickets pricier than expected

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – If you want to watch the Canucks take on the Senators in BC Place this March, you’re going to have to open up the pocket book!
Tickets for the Heritage Classic are priced a lot higher than many thought.
Prices for the open-air game start at $93 for the first row seats. These seats are field-level, where you won’t be able to see much, with the rink at least 50 feet away.
If you want to actually see the game, you’re going to have to shell out at least $177 for mid-level seats.
Kingsley Bailey with Vancouver Ticket says he’s surprised with prices almost 20 per cent more than he thought.
“I thought that they would definitely market the Heritage Classic for the masses and make it a lot more affordable… when you’ve got poor sight-lines to begin with and you’re charging $93 for an entry-level seat, it doesn’t [make for] exciting hockey,” he tells us.
“You’d think that if [the stadium is] going to be three times the size, they could at least reduce pricing to make it at little more affordable for a lot more people to go,” he adds.
The Club section tops out at $313. Pre-sales for season ticket holders start on Tuesday.
