Weather forcing cancellations of BC Ferries

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The rainfall warning has been called off but there is still a wind warning in effect for Metro Vancouver.

Gusts are expected to top 90 kilometres an hour tonight and there is a chance of a thunderstorm.

Deb Marshall with the corporation says if people have a reservation and it gets cancelled, they’ll get a refund. “If customers are planning on traveling today, we suggest you travel early in the day before the weather kicks in. Otherwise, please stay tuned to our website. We will be posting any cancellations and service notices to update our customers, but it is a situation where we have to wait and see what the weather does.”
