Man arrested aboard drifting Victoria Clipper

SEATTLE (NEWS1130) – Seattle police say a man was taken into custody Sunday morning after a report that a suspicious person was aboard a Victoria Clipper boat adrift in Elliott Bay.

News reports say the bomb squad and SWAT officers were called and that the ship was supposed to be unoccupied.

Seattle police tweeted at 10:30 a.m. that officers were in contact with the man and working to resolve the situation. They later tweeted that he had been taken into custody. Few other details were immediately available.

The privately operated ferry service provides transportation between Seattle and Victoria.
