Canucks face Predators in road trip finale

NASHVILLE, TN (NEWS1130) – The Canucks’ four-game road trip comes to an end this evening as Vancouver takes on the Nashville Predators. The Canucks have gone 2-1-0 in the first three games of the trip.

Vancouver beat Carolina 3-2 on Sunday after falling 5-2 to the New York Rangers on Saturday. The trip began with a 5-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators. Nashville is coming off back-to-back losses to the Edmonton Oilers and Philadelphia Flyers.

The Canucks will be without forward Alex Burrows. He underwent surgery for a broken jaw on Monday and is expected to miss four weeks of action.

It will be the first meeting of the season between the two clubs. The Canucks swept their three-game series last season, outscoring the Predators 13-6.

Roberto Luongo is expected to be back in goal for the Canucks after Eddie Lack played last game. Luongo was pulled in his last start, after allowing three goals on 10 shots against the Rangers.

The Predators may be missing captain Shea Weber. The bruising blueliner is recovering from an eye injury after taking a puck in the face.

Game time is 5 p.m. It will televised on Rogers Sportsnet Pacific.
