VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Get out the warm coats, gloves and tuques this weekend if you want to enjoy some of the holiday events happening around the Lower Mainland.

The Portobello West Holiday Market is on this weekend at the Creekside Community Centre.

Santa will be at the Granville Island Kid’s Market Saturday morning.

Bright Nights in Stanley Park is on again. Come check out the amazing light displays and ride the Christmas train now until January 5th.

Canyon Lights, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s popular holiday light display, is on once again. You can check out the lights until January.

Visit the Lower Lonsdale Business Association’s Christmas Festival Saturday afternoon at the Shipyards at the foot of Lonsdale.

Christmas at Canada Place is on now until the end of December at the Canada Place cruise ship terminal.

The Robson Square Ice Rink is open again until the end of February.

Stop by the Vancouver Christmas Market at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza. It’s on until Christmas Eve.

Illuminations at Heritage Christmas is on until January 3rd at the Burnaby Village Museum. And best of all, it’s free.

Stop by WISE Hall on Adanac Saturday for the Eastside Flea where local vendors will be selling everythig from clothes to cameras and everything in between.

The Pop Culture Collectibles Fair and Computer Swap Meet is on Saturday at the Scottish Cultural Centre in Marpole.

The Canucks host the Avalanche Sunday afternoon at Rogers Arena. Listen for Canucks updates every 10 minutes on the 5s and goal alerts when they happen.

Bring the kids to Breakfast With Santa on Sunday at the Yaletown Roundhouse Exhibition Hall.

Get in the Christmas spirit with songs from Charlotte Diamond. She plays the Vancouver Playhouse this Sunday morning.

Come to Mish Mash Sunday night at the Jewish Community Centre for some great entertainment.

The Vancouver Fencing Canada Cup wraps up on Sunday at the Convention Centre.

Vancouver Opera presents Albert Herring Sunday afternoon at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
