Lower Mainland entrepreneurs needed for reality show

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, but teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime.

Now a reality show has taken that philosophy and applied it to business.

Host and Executive Producer Dana Hutchings admits while “The Hard Way” isn’t the first reality show set to feature entrepreneurs, it’s a little different from the rest. “What we do is we work with them, so mentors work with them to help them achieve what they’re trying to do. We’re not throwing money at people like some of the other shows do, which is great for them, but it’s not what we’re all about. We’re about mentoring and helping to try and get them back on track.”

Shooting for the second season begins in March. “We’re looking for businesses in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island this year. We had so many requests after the season started last year, people wanting help and needing help that we thought, ‘Hey, lets see what’s out there,” she adds.

Want to be on the show? Applications are being accepted until January 6th.
