Crews searching Lynn Valley for missing woman

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Crews with North Shore Rescue are narrowing their search for a 76-year-old North Vancouver woman last seen near a seniors home in Lynn Valley Friday morning.

Search leader Tim Jones says despite their best efforts, they haven’t managed to unearth any new information.

“Yesterday was extensive. The public support, the public awareness, the media attention given to us did not produce any solid clues or sightings.”

Jones says crews are spending the day concentrating on an area of Lynn Valley. “It’s a very steep embankment area. It’s going to require ropes. We want to close this off to one specific area.”
