Charges laid in 2012 hit and run in Surrey

SURREY (NEWS1130) – A man has now been charged in a hit and run in Surrey that left two women badly hurt just over a year ago.

Barry Russell Christiansen, 54, from Surrey will be in court in January; he’s charged with two counts of failing to stop at the scene involving bodily harm.

Police released graphic surveillance footage within a couple of days of the accident, which happened on December 3, 2012. The video showed an SUV speed through the intersection, hitting the two female joggers.
