Air Canada plane inspected following emergency landing

CALIFORNIA (NEWS1130) – An inspection is now underway of an Air Canada flight on route to Vancouver which had to make an emergency landing in LA.

The airline confirms the pilot requested to turn around after he smelled fuel in the cockpit.

There were 87 people on board, no injuries have been reported.

It’s the second time in less than a week that an Air Canada flight bound for Vancouver has been forced to turn back just after take off.

Last week a Jazz flight from Nanaimo made an emergency landing because of an engine fire.
