CNN sings Canada’s praises

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – You know Canada is a great place to call home, and now it seems others are starting to take notice.
Whether you chalk up the publicity to the Rob Ford saga or something more positive, a new list suggests our “home and native land” is pretty cool.
The authors of a piece on CNN think one of our top national assets is our willingness to apologize.
“In Canada, apologies happen constantly — ‘sorries’ flying in from all sides like swarms of affable killer bees,” it says in the piece. “Apologies are issued not just for some negligible mishap, but for actually having the gall to be on the receiving end of one.”
The quality of our air also makes the grade; a recent study shows only the air in Estonia and Mauritius is cleaner.
A few of our favourite icons are on the list because we apparently can’t hit the road without stopping for something to eat or drink. Whether its a Double-Double or a Nanaimo bar, CNN says we have a lot to brag about.
