VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – From banking to connecting with friends to waking up in the morning, a new survey shows how dramatically smartphone apps have changed our lives.
The survey from Apigee found mobile banking apps have had an impact on the way we manage our money, with only a third of Americans under the age of 40 actually visiting a bank branch in the last month.
Apps have also made shopping a lot easier; instead of dealing with crowded malls, almost a third of respondents shop online at least once a week.
More than half of people aged 18 to 24 say they wouldn’t be able to get up on time without an alarm clock app, while about six per cent don’t think they could maintain a romantic relationship without an app.
Religious practices have also changed; about 10 per cent expect their churches to have services available on a smartphone or tablet.
