Snow in tomorrow’s Lower Mainland forecast

LOWER MAINLAND (NEWS1130) – Enjoy today’s commute, because tomorrow it’s going to get ugly.
News1130 Meteorologist Russ Lacate has been tracking a storm that could make a mess of things to end the week. He tells us snow is in tomorrow’s forecast.
“It will be dry all of today; we’ll get a bit of filtered sun this morning, it’s cloudier this afternoon and the high is plus-4. But after dinner time tonight, it slips back down to minus-1 and it starts to snow lightly late overnight. By light, I mean one or two centimetres for early-risers.”
Russ says it’ll continue snowing right through the middle of the day.
“Normally, we see things changing to rain, but it’s not going to happen straight away at all. I think we’ll have five to 10 centimetres of snowfall at all elevations, including right down to sea level through mid-day Friday,” he explains.
“Eventually, later in the afternoon, the temperature edges up to near plus-3. Some rain starts to mix in, but more or less, it just tapers off sometime Friday evening. It’s a drier pattern for the weekend, but you can expect there will still be snow on the ground.”
