South Fraser Perimeter Road mostly open

DELTA (NEWS1130) – Drivers, you’ll be able to use the whole South Fraser Perimeter Road as of Saturday…but much of the route is open to traffic.
News1130’s Kim Seale has seen the route from high in the sky and she says there is plenty of truck traffic. “I’ll tell you, I can tell these guys have been waiting for this for years now. At first the talk, the talk went on forever. Finally the construction went underway and we’ve been flying through this since it’s started.”
“It’s so nice to finally see the whole area open up and I guarantee you it is really going to help out with the bridge volume that we’ve had for the Pattullo Bridge and the Alex Fraser Bridge. Those guy are going to take full advantage of that road now,” adds Kim.
The entire highway opens this weekend, linking Tsawwassen and Deltaport with the Number One in Surrey — with limited access points along the 40 kilometre route.
