Fatal avalanche in Golden

GOLDEN (NEWS1130) – A 29-year-old man from Alberta has died in an avalanche near Golden.

RCMP were called to an out of bounds area near the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort yesterday around 2:30 p.m.

He was found under avalanche debris and rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The BC Coroners Service has taken over the investigation.
