VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – So you welcomed in 2014 with your good friends “Jim Beam,” “Kim Crawford” and “Sam Adams,” and now you’re feeling the pain.
Let’s look at how you can recover:
The good news is there are a lot of possibilities. “Dr. Google” says hydrating yourself is key; after all that boozing, your body is dehydrated. Water, Gatorade or juice is best, but some swear by the old “hair of the dog” — drinking a little of what you had last night to get you back on track.
If you’re really brave, try wheatgrass juice; its natural contains lots of chlorophyll and antioxidants. Another suggestion is pickle juice, with is apparently rich in minerals that some say will have you feeling better in no time.
Others claim a good, hearty breakfast is another way to go, with a greasy plate of bacon, eggs and hashbrowns — or maybe dry toast if you’re still a little queasy.
Now for the bad news: Most experts say the cures are all in your head and only time will get the effects of alcohol out of your system.
