VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – If you have a few extra coats cluttering up your closet, now is the perfect opportunity to clear them out.
“Operation Bundle Up” is on now in Metro Vancouver.
Director Scott Szarapka says they’re collecting coats for people in need. “I can only imagine how bad it would be for someone who doesn’t have a winter coat and is stuck outside for 14 to 15 hours or longer.”
He says gloves, toques, socks, hoodies, umbrellas, scarves, and vests are also needed. “You go to www.operationbundleup.com, take a look at our map, find the closest drop-off box to you. We will collect all the coats back into boxes, sort it, and then distribute it to a charity that has that need. They will then come and pick up the donations from us.”
Szarapka says they have drop-off boxes as far as Maple Ridge.
